The Dutch government and grid operator TenneT have focused on the southern part of the municipality of Hollands Kroon for the construction of a new 380kV high-voltage connection. The exact locations of the pylons have not yet been determined. Residents of Middenmeer, Slootdorp, Nieuwe Niedorp and Oude Niedorp are expected to be involved. The plans concern dozens of residents who may face a buyout process to make way for the connection.
