Almost 20 years after a large Q-fever outbreak in the Netherlands, thousands of patients still reportedly face serious health problems. Caroline van Kessel, president of the patient organisation Q-ustion, is seeking greater recognition and better support for patients. Patients are also demanding recognition and apologies for the lasting impact of the disease, which they say has controlled their lives for two decades.
