A man died after falling from the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia, west of Atlanta, Georgia. Witnesses reported that he struck the attraction several times before reaching the ground; one report said he had been riding with his son while his wife and daughter watched from the ground. Several reports also said several other people were injured, although later reports did not provide details of those injuries.

Police are investigating how the man came out of the ride vehicle. The park said it was saddened by the incident.
