Groups of young people have caused nuisance in Heerenveen for several weeks, residents and business owners reported. They have set off fireworks at night, and a council member said the fireworks involved bottles of white spirit and gas cylinders rather than ordinary fireworks. The impact on some residents and entrepreneurs is reported to be significant. The groups have been identified by name, according to one report.
