Nigel de Jong extended his contract as the KNVB’s director of top football by four years. The new agreement takes effect on 1 January.

The KNVB said it disclosed the extension, which had been communicated internally at the end of the previous month, to remove uncertainty about De Jong’s future. De Jong has held the role since January 2023, when he succeeded Nico-Jan Hoogma.
