Interest in new-build homes has reportedly fallen for four consecutive quarters, according to real estate agents. Lana Gerssen of real estate agency NVM said new construction was pricing itself out of the market. Research cited in the account found that a new home was on average 8 percent more expensive than a comparable existing home.
