NS, ProRail, Arriva, Keolis and Qbuzz, working with the national helpline 113, launched the Life to Stop campaign to help prevent suicides on railway tracks. The campaign was described as the first national prevention campaign involving NS, regional rail operators, ProRail and 113.
About 200 people die by suicide on the tracks each year. The campaign also highlighted the impact of such incidents on train drivers, incident-response staff and their colleagues.
