MI5 director Ken McCallum said Iran and Russia had increasingly carried out hybrid actions against the United Kingdom. He said the service now spends more time addressing threats from states than it did during the Cold War.

One report also said MI5 warned that hybrid attacks were escalating and that military targets in Britain were being threatened.
