Meta said it does not intend to withdraw its AI camera glasses from the market despite concerns in the Netherlands that they can be used to secretly film women. The Consumers' Association had called on the company to modify the glasses and said it could take legal action if it did not.

Alex Himel, who leads Meta's glasses business, said the concern was understandable but compared the glasses with phones that can also record people. A report also said Meta uses algorithms to counter attempts to bypass the glasses' recording indicator light.
