5 sources

Gymnasts Sanne Wevers, 35, and Vera van Pol, 32, were selected for the Netherlands women’s team for the World Championships in Rotterdam, to be held from 17 to 25 October. It will be their first World Championships since 2023. Wevers returned to competition at the European Championships in August after stopping following the Paris Olympics. She secured her selection by meeting the required score on balance beam during the second World Championships qualifier. The 2016 Olympic balance-beam champion will compete at a World Championships on home soil.
