UK Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said she was concerned about Sky’s acquisition of ITV’s media and entertainment business and was minded to intervene on public-interest grounds. She cited concerns about freedom of expression and diversity of media content in the United Kingdom.

The deal was announced in July. The intervention remains under consideration.
