Liesbeth Arts, 61, has lived in central France since 2004. Her 86-year-old mother lives in the Netherlands and needs care, so Arts regularly travels to Brabant and also helps her mother remotely. Arts describes their bond as very strong and the arrangement as an example of neighbourhood support in its most meaningful form.
