KPN outage disrupts hospital phone access
◆9 sources
A KPN outage on Saturday disrupted telephone access to some of its customers, leaving several Dutch hospitals difficult or impossible to reach on their usual numbers. Affected institutions included UMC Utrecht, the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital, Maastricht UMC+, Radboudumc in Nijmegen, and university hospitals in Rotterdam and Groningen. KPN described the problem as a local technical fault affecting business customers at one of its network locations. The affected hospitals said they remained open; Radboudumc provided an emergency number.
