EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas called on the United States to impose sanctions on Russia, saying EU measures would work better if the US aligned with them. She said a US-Russia diesel supply deal did not help increase pressure on Russia.

Kallas also expressed doubt that Russia would comply with an agreement with Ukraine to refrain from striking energy infrastructure, saying that only pressure on Russia works.
