Jaap Korteweg, founder of The Vegetarian Butcher, said that Arjen Lubach’s criticism of the acquisition of Vivera and The Vegetarian Butcher by what was described as the world’s largest meat-processing company was undoubtedly well-intentioned. Korteweg argued that a possible boycott would not help the animals or advance their cause.
