The housing market appeared to be cooling, with figures from the Dutch Association of Real Estate Brokers and Real Estate Experts (NVM) showing that more homes were being offered for sale and that properties were staying on the market longer. Overbidding was no longer always necessary, which was described as good news for prospective buyers. NVM Wonen chair Lara Gerssen said that not all problems had been resolved and that the market had only then reached a balanced state.
