Hoogvliet supermarket in Soest closed after mouse infestation

A Hoogvliet supermarket in Soest was closed after an inspection by the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) found a mouse infestation. The supermarket chain said it was taking the situation extremely seriously.

The store was completely cleaned and is due to reopen on Friday morning. Customers were still surprised by the closure, which followed the NVWA’s evacuation of the premises the previous Thursday.
