Heino reached a €7,500 settlement with the AfD over false voting advice

Singer Heino reportedly reached a €7,500 settlement with Germany’s far-right AfD after Felix Teichner, an AfD candidate in Brandenburg, posted on social media that Heino would vote for him in the state election. Heino said he had not authorized the statement and objected to being used as the face of a political party. He had initially sought €250,000 in damages for harm to his image, later reducing the demand to €30,000.

Teichner deleted the post and apologized. The settlement ended the matter for Heino and his management. Teichner subsequently lost the election to a CDU candidate.
