The municipality of Gouda has not given permission for residents to charge electric cars in parking spaces outside their homes using cables from their own houses when the cables cross the sidewalk. Charging on private property, such as a driveway, is permitted. This emerged from the municipality’s response to written questions from Leefbaar Gouda, which had also asked whether the rule was consistent with the municipality’s sustainability policy.
