Go Sharing scooters removed from Hollands Kroon but cleanup costs remain uncovered

The municipality of Hollands Kroon said that about 4,000 abandoned Go Sharing scooters stored in warehouses in Middenmeer and Van Ewijcksluis had been sold and disposed of after the company stopped operating in the Netherlands and went bankrupt. The municipality had arranged for the scooters to be stored safely, which it said had cost significant time and money. Many scooters were sold at auction to private individuals. The remaining scooters were sold by the curators to a French company that offered partial transport. The scooters have now been removed from Hollands Kroon, but the proceeds were not enough to cover all cleanup costs, so the matter has not yet been fully closed.
