Gine Shearlaw, 55, and her husband David, 58, moved to the Spanish countryside in Aspe, near Alicante, seven years ago. They run a bed-and-breakfast there and enjoy the freedom, although Shearlaw said she might have reconsidered if she had known everything in advance.
