SV Urk appointed Gert Jan Karsten as its new head coach, replacing the dismissed Mark Looms. Karsten, 47, signed for one and a half seasons and is due to start on 1 November; until then, Randy Jelies and Henk Nieuwshuis are in charge of the squad.

Karsten is currently head coach of VV Nunspeet and previously coached SV Urk from the summer of 2020 until February 2023, when he moved to IJsselmeervogels.
