First Achterhoek Pride Walk held in Doetinchem

The first Pride Walk in the Achterhoek took place in Doetinchem after an earlier event planned for June was cancelled because of extreme heat. Dozens of people took part on a cold, wet evening, walking through the city centre to loud music. Jelle Kleinhesselink of Achterhoek Pride said the event was needed and described it as more than successful.

Participants in a Pride Walk in central Almere were shouted at and spat on during the event. About 100 people took part in the march against discrimination. At a pedestrian crossing near the Bottler Passage, a car drove toward Pride Almere chair Sher Ewo after she stopped it, according to the organisation.
