House fire on Wildforster in Ede

A fire broke out in a terraced house on the Wildforster in Ede on Monday afternoon, producing heavy smoke. Firefighters evacuated all nine homes in the row and carried out demolition work on the roofs of the neighbouring houses to prevent the fire spreading along the roof ridge. Two residents were assessed by paramedics but did not need hospital treatment.

The fire was later brought under control. The affected house was severely damaged, with only bare walls remaining according to a spokesperson, and is uninhabitable for the time being.
