A fire was set along the railway between Rotterdam and Delft during the night from Friday to Saturday. State Secretary for Public Transport Annet Bertram called the incident very serious and worrying and said people should stay away from the railway. Police are investigating.

State Secretary for Infrastructure Annet Bertram of the CDA wrote to the Dutch Parliament that reintroducing the railway police was not under discussion. In April, she had promised the House of Representatives that she would examine whether the railway police could return.
