Italian cyclist Filippo Ganna will leave INEOS early to join Lidl-Trek next year. The 30-year-old, a two-time world time trial champion, signed a three-year contract with Lidl-Trek through 2029 despite having had one year remaining on his INEOS contract.
Giulio Ciccone, who announced his departure from Lidl-Trek three days earlier, is set to ride for Pinarello-Q36.5 for the next three seasons. The 31-year-old Italian climber is leaving Lidl-Trek after eight seasons. The Swiss team also has Mauro Schmid and Tom Pidcock on its roster.
Ciccone has won two Tour de France races and three Giro d’Italia stages, as well as the mountains classification in both Grand Tours. He won the 2025 Clásica San Sebastián, took silver in this year’s European road race championship after losing a sprint to Remco Evenepoel, and finished third in the Tour of Lombardy last Saturday.
Demi Vollering said her successful cycling season was nearly over, with the European Championship time trial in Slovenia still to ride on Wednesday. She said she was looking forward to racing in the rainbow jersey next year and hoped for another strong season.
