Under the name Agricultural Alliance, farmers’ organisations presented an alternative to the nitrogen plans of Agriculture Minister Jaimi van Essen of D66. A leaked document reportedly proposes lowering the nitrogen limit to 21 moles, creating 250-metre buffer zones around nitrogen-sensitive habitats and ending the use of model calculations.
