The investigation into a 31-year-old man from Westendorp suspected of online sexual abuse of young children has expanded after Belgian authorities transferred a case to Dutch police. He has been in custody since early this year on suspicion of, among other allegations, assaulting four minors. He is suspected of multiple sex crimes involving underage children from the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. One report said investigators found more than 31,000 photos and videos allegedly depicting sexual abuse, and that he was suspected of performing sexual acts on himself while children watched.
