A crisis-preparedness campaign was launched at the Markt in Middelburg, where residents could ask questions about preparing for an emergency. A white van displayed the question of whether people are prepared for an emergency.

The campaign urged people to be able to care for themselves and one another during a major crisis, including managing for three days without electricity.
