The Food Service Institute Netherlands (FSIN) expects restaurants, sandwich shops and cafés to face falling visitor numbers and rising prices in the coming year. It said the hospitality sector and retail chains had benefited in recent years from “gezakseten”, or takeaway food, but consumers need time to adjust to higher prices.
