ADS Groep argued at a hearing before the Objections Committee that keeping its office in Goor as a permanent monument would make the building virtually unusable for the company and threaten its deterioration. The company’s position concerned the designation of the building, which was described as a Hundertwasser-style monument.

The hearing also indicated that not all experts were convinced that the building had monumental status. The designation remains under consideration.
