A court in Den Bosch extended the pretrial detention of 26-year-old care worker Jelle D. by 45 days. He is suspected of involvement in the deaths of two elderly residents of Joris Zorg in Oirschot and remains in custody.

D. was arrested at the care facility in late August, after one of the residents was found dead on 21 August. Police treated that death as non-natural and opened an investigation. His detention had already been extended twice.
