Amsterdam’s planned Oostbrug cycle bridge across the IJ, linking Azartplein in Oost with the Hamerkwartier in Noord, faces a further delay. Alderman Muskops told the city council that completion by 2034 at the earliest is unlikely to be achieved. The municipality still lacks at least €170 million for the project. The original cost estimate was about €325 million.
