The Consumer Union called on the EU to give greater attention to repairing broken televisions in new product-sustainability rules. The European Commission is working on new rules for televisions, while existing European rules require certain products to meet requirements including repairability.

The Consumer Union said repair is unlikely to receive sufficient attention under the planned television rules.
