The municipality of Arnhem said the Paasbergflat on Bronbeeklaan must be evacuated and closed on Friday 16 October because conditions in the building have become unsafe, particularly regarding fire safety. The owner was given seven days to ensure that everyone leaves, after which the municipality says it will intervene. The building houses nine residents as well as homeless people and squatters. They were given a week to find somewhere else to stay.
