The link road from the A27 to the A6 toward Lelystad was scheduled to close for maintenance from 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, until 5 p.m. on Monday, October 12. Drivers were directed to take the A6 toward Amsterdam and turn around at exit 6, Almere Buiten, adding about five minutes to the journey. They could also detour via the Eemnes interchange and the A1 toward Amsterdam, then take the A6 toward Lelystad at the Muiderberg interchange. Additional disruption and longer journey times were expected, especially on Friday, October 9. Detection loops in the road surface were also being replaced and the road alignment restored.
