Utrecht’s mayor ordered the closure of the Indian restaurants Krishna Vilas on Kaatstraat and Anjappar on Vredenburg. They are under investigation on suspicion of labour exploitation and human trafficking.

The municipality is assessing whether to revoke the businesses’ hospitality permits.
