A cat was rescued after spending six days trapped inside a wall on Nieuwendijk in central Amsterdam after falling about seven metres. An animal ambulance could not reach it, so the fire brigade was called. Firefighters drilled an opening through the wall of a neighbouring shop. The cat climbed upward and was caught on the roof, then collected and examined by animal care specialists.
