◆1 source

The French holiday company Capfun has reportedly taken over Prinsenmeer holiday park in Ommel for €20.6 million. The company said the park would have separate zones for holidaymakers and areas where annual pitches remain, provided this is allowed under the permits. Permanent residence at the park remains prohibited. Chalet owner Roger Seegers said he was relieved after being unable to use his chalet for three years because its permits had been revoked. He now sees a more positive future for the chalet.

Breda International Airport considers temporary refugee reception

1 source

Breda International Airport in Bosschenhoofd wants to expand its social role in the region during times of crisis, director Jan Voeten said. He gave the possible temporary reception of refugees fleeing conflict in eastern Europe as an example, stressing that this would not concern regular asylum-seeker reception. Voeten said the airport has space and could place beds in aircraft hangars or elsewhere on the site. He referred to the airport’s rapid conversion into one of West Brabant’s largest vaccination centres during the coronavirus crisis as evidence that it could respond quickly. The airport is willing to temporarily put its own business activities in the background, he said.
