Ban on Kyndryl’s acquisition of Solvinity upheld

State Secretary Willemijn Aerdts upheld the ban on the proposed sale of Solvinity, the company behind the DigiD login service, to the US company Kyndryl. The decision followed an objection procedure and a review of the available facts and additional research.

Aerdts concluded again that the acquisition could threaten the public interest. Solvinity, based in Amsterdam and owned by a British shareholder, had sought to have the cabinet ban overturned.
