Twelve police officers from Groningen are being followed in the television series Bureau Groningen, presented by Ewout Genemans. The programme begins airing on Thursday night and shows the officers at work with a camera crew accompanying them.
Genemans had previously spent time accompanying Groningen officers before filming. One officer said the presence of a camera could itself help de-escalate situations.
