Bolivian farmer Etson Machaca has converted plastic waste, old tires and used oil into fuel for his tractors, according to the report. His small factory produces 80 to 150 litres of diesel and petrol per day, at a reported cost of 0.72 cents per litre.

Machaca uses the fuel exclusively for his family business and does not sell it.
