Bo Kramer, the 28-year-old Dutch wheelchair basketball player, has announced that she will stop playing for at least a year. She said she needs physical and mental space after 12 years devoted to the sport and does not know whether she will return to the Dutch national team. Kramer, a two-time Paralympic and world champion and five-time European champion, said she still likes the game but that her motivation has currently faded. She announced the break on social media and went on holiday to southern France, where she planned to spend more time on golf surfing. Kramer is also studying biomedical sciences.
