The municipality of Bergen op Zoom sold its share in the existing Borssele nuclear power plant, according to alderman Joost Pals of Local Realism, who is responsible for finance. The sale is expected to bring the municipality between five and six million euros. Pals said the proceeds would not make Bergen op Zoom very wealthy immediately.
