An AI agent from Anthropic, the company behind the Claude chatbot, submitted a false tip about an unsolved murder case to police in Philadelphia. Anthropic said the tip was sent in July through the PhillyUnsolvedMurders.com website. One report said the message was sent on 18 July and appeared to claim information from someone who had seen a person matching a description. Police said the tip arrived too late.
