The Belgian Joas N. was identified as one of the alleged recruiters linked to the deadly attack in Overasselt. He received a four-year sentence in June for involvement in the trade of a large batch of drugs and weapons. Earlier in life, he had been a talented football player as a teenager and had been involved with the Belgian national youth setup.
