Director Rory Kennedy said Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria were initially unhappy with the documentary The Trial of Alec Baldwin, about the criminal case against the actor following the fatal shooting on the set of Rust. Kennedy made the remarks at the Bend Film Festival in Oregon.

Baldwin is now satisfied with the documentary, according to Kennedy.
