State Secretary Silvio Erkens told the House of Representatives during Question Time that Albert Heijn’s distribution problems following an IT disruption do not currently threaten food security. He said the problem is confined to Albert Heijn.

The cabinet is monitoring the risk of public panic and said the incident affects daily life, while maintaining that food security is not at risk.
