Air cleaners placed in 39 homes after formaldehyde was detected

Housing corporation Staedion reportedly placed mobile air cleaners in 39 homes in a residential complex on Lisztstraat to reduce formaldehyde concentrations. The substance was measured after the building’s facade had been insulated with UF foam. Residents experienced watery eyes, and high concentrations of formaldehyde can cause health problems. Seven residents have so far been given temporary accommodation elsewhere.
