AEX-listed companies appointed relatively many men to supervisory boards last year, according to an analysis by executive-search firm Heidrick & Struggles. Just over a quarter of the appointments went to women.

The analysis also found that newly appointed supervisory board members at AEX companies were older than their counterparts in other European countries.
